Arson attack on children’s play area

THE growing problem of arson attacks in local parks and play areas in Warrington continued last night when a wheelie bin was set on fire in a children’s play area.

The incident took place Shortly after 9.30pm on Wednesday night when firefighters were called to reports of a fire in the open on Capesthorne Road in Warrington.

On arrival the crew found a wheelie bin well alight in a children’s play area.

Firefighters extinguished the fire with water and were in attendance for around 10 minutes.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
