Woman who fled scene of accident was over three times drink driving limit

A woman who fled the scene of an accident at Westbrook, Warrington, was found to be more than three times the drink driving limit when she was breathalised.

The woman had fled the scene of the road traffic collision but was caught by police a short distance away.

After providing a positive roadside sample of 114 – the legal limit is 35, she was arrested and taken into custody where she refused to provide a further test.

She was kept in custody for refusing to provide a second sample and was awaiting her fate this morning.

Meanwhile with all pubs and clubs closed due to the Coronavirus outbreak it was a quieter night for Police in the town centre.
