TEN Warrington schools joined forces in a sponsored run to raise funds for Sport Relief.
The Challenge Academy Trust’s network of schools were led by Andy Roberts, assistant headteacher at Bridgewater High School, who ran the 15 miles between the schools to raise they money.
He was joined by staff and students from each school along the way.
The run started at Penketh South Primary school and finished at Bridgewater High.
Mr Roberts said: “A big thanks to Jo Smith from Broomfields Junior School and John Welsh from 1985 Sports, for running the whole 15 miles with me. Thank you too to all the staff and students who joined in along the way. The reception in particular we received at each of the primary schools was fantastic and very motivating: I thank you for all you did in supporting the event.”
The JustGiving page for the event currently sits at £270, but individual schools are still to add their totals to that amount.
The schools involved were: Penketh South Primary, Penketh High, Great Sankey Primary, Padgate Academy, Meadowside, Beamont , Priestley College, Sir Thomas Boteler CE High, Broomfields Junior and Bridgewater High.
