Coronavirus: Council updates guidance for adult social care

TOWN Hall chiefs published updated guidance regarding arrangements for adult social care in Warrington.
The authority is working closely with local care providers to ensure the most vulnerable residents are protected.
Cllr Rebecca Knowles (pictured), cabinet member for statutory health and adult social care, said: “Adult social care and our providers in Warrington are supporting up to 2,600 vulnerable people in their homes and in care settings every day. As the outbreak of coronavirus progresses, services will be disrupted for the foreseeable future.
“Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and we are following and reviewing government guidance to make sure that we are able to respond to the latest advice. We are working closely with our partners and providers to ensure they are following infection control advice to continue to deliver safe care, and that as a system we are able to prioritise those most at risk, and in need of care and support services.”
“We are also asking for the support of individuals and their families to try to ensure that together, those who are most vulnerable, can receive the care they need and are effectively safeguarded.”
