Man arrested for assaulting partner in street at Latchford

A man was arrested at Latchford last night for allegedly assaulting his partner in the street.

The incident took place at 21:00 on Friday night in the Latchford area when a member of the public who tried to intervene was also allegedly assaulted.

The offender was taken into custody for allegations of two assaults.

Meanwhile a woman was arrested at Grappenhall after reversing into a neighbour’s parked car and then later refusing to provide a specimen of breath.

In another incident a male who was ejected from a tonw centre bar during the early hours for being drunk and disorderly was arrested by police after continuing the “rumpus” in the street.
