FLOOD warnings were issued at Warrington today as a result of high spring tides.
The tide was expected to be higher than usual at Arpley Bridge with flooding of low-lying land and roads possible between 12.45pm and 1.45
A spokesperson for the Environment Agency said: “We believe there is a possibility of flooding for parts of Chester Road.
“Flood alerts / warnings may also be required for subsequent high tides. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further warnings if necessary. “
The agency will update its warnings as the day progresses.
