POLICE have stepped up patrols in the Culcheth area of Warrington following a spate of burglaries and attempted burglaries.
Dedicated officers are targeting the area and have pledged: “We are going to catch them.”
A spokesperson said the Warrington pro-active burglary team were aware of the situation.
“We are on the case. We know there is concern in the community. We are going to catch them – this is our promise.”
In the meantime, the police advise residents to keep gates at the rear of their properties padlocked and the house secure when they go to bed.
“Keep an eye out for suspicious vehicles with multiple people on board in the early hours of the morning and keep an eye on your neighbours’ properties. If you see something suspicious report it to the police.
“For those committing these offences our message is simple. We are going to find you and you going to learn you don’t come to Warrington to burgle.”
