Fire crews answer flooding call at house – twice

FIRE and rescue crews were called out twice to deal with flooding at a house at Winwick, Warrington.
Early yesterday firefighters set up a pump to clear water from in front of a house in Mill Lane.
They were at the scene for three hours and reduced the level of the floodwater by about six inches, which allowed access to the house.
But in the afternoon they were called back to find the water had risen significantly and was entering the property.
Firefighters wearing water kit waded through the water and set up a pump to clear the water from the house.
The cause of the flooding is not clear.
