WARRINGTON Town’s game at Buxton had to be abandoned after 33 minutes due to snow.

The Yellows had taken the lead five minutes prior through Olufisayo Adarabioyo, who thought he had marked his debut with a goal.

The striker got in behind the defence and kept his cool to slot home past Grant Shenton.

But despite the artificial pitch at Buxton, the highest ground above sea level in England, the snowy conditions brought an end to the game.

The primary reason for concern was the players not being able to see the lines on the pitch, and a ground official stated that the lines simply couldn’t be cleared alone due to the nature of the pitch.

After halting the game for a discussion with the players, play resumed, before eventually the referee brought both teams off.
