Flood warning as rain continues to fall

THE Environment Agency has issued a flood warning at Little Bollington, near Lymm – meaning flooding is expected and immediate action should be taken by nearby residents
Rising water levels on the River Bollin and Agden Brook were expected to reach flood warning levels at about 10.45 am today.
River levels at the Bollington Mill river gauge have peaked at 1.29m.
An Environment Agency spokes person said: “We expect the river level to rise again as a result of new rainfall overnight at approximately 10:45am , peaking at 1.46m at 15:45pm
. Consequently, flooding of property is expected from approximately 10:45am . This may impact properties at and around Bollington Mill and Bollington Hall Farm. Our incident response staff are closely monitoring weather forecasts and river levels and will issue further flood warnings if necessary.
“Please be aware of your surroundings and keep up to date with the current situation.”
