Police seek witnesses following suspected arson attack on car

POLICE are seeking witnesses following a suspected arson attack on a car in Gorsey Lane, Warrinton early on Saturday morning.

The incident took place shortly before 7am when firefighters were called to reports of a car being on fire on the roadway in Gorsey Lane, Warrington.

A firefighter extinguished the fire, which was contained within the saloon vehicle, with a hose reel jet.

Firefighters were in attendance for more than 20 minutes.

They handed the incident over to the police, who also attended.

The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.
