WARRINGTON Town’s game at Ashton United has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

It’s the second successive weekend the weather has forced the cancellation of a game involving the Yellows, who haven’t played in the league since losing 2-1 at Lancaster City on February 1st.

Their next game is at home to Grantham Town on Tuesday night.

Paul Carden’s side sit sixth in the table, and still have 16 league games remaining to be played prior to the final game of the season at home to Ashton United on April 25.

Meanwhile, striker Will Harris has returned to Burnley following a loan spell, to enable him to go on trial with EFL League One side Sunderland.

The Yellows have moved quickly to fill his space in the squad, forward Fisayo Adarabioyo having now received his international clearance.
