Drink drive suspect who fled scene was well over three times limit

A drink drive suspect who fled the scene of a collision on Wash Lane, Latchford on Saturday morning was well over three times the limit when arrested by police.

When police arrived at the scene of the collision, involving a white van, the male allegedly left the driving seat of his vehicle and fled on foot.

A chase ensued and officers were equal to the task at hand and the male was detained by officers.

Upon calming him down the driver allegedly provided a Breath Sample by the Roadside of 126mgs the legal limit is 35mgs.

The male was arrested for allegations of Drink Driving and No Insurance.
