Council leader completes his tour of the borough

COUNCIL leader Russ Bowden is set to complete his tour of Warrington with his “Leader’s Forum” meetings.
His next three meetings will mean he has visited every part of the borough.
The first is at Burtonwood on Monday (February 17).
His aim was to bring open, accessible meetings to communities across the borough – and it’s taken him just over a year to do it.
The forum meetings are a chance for residents to question Cllr Bowden and put forward their own suggestions and ideas. The meetings are informal, drop-in sessions and relaxed spaces where residents can come along and discuss their issues and priorities.
Cllr Bowden said: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my forum meetings and I’m pleased to announce these new meeting dates. When I embarked on my first forum back in February 2019, I didn’t expect that I’d manage to speak to hundreds of residents across the borough, covering so many different parts of Warrington.
“The conversations I’ve had with residents have been so worthwhile. I’ve listened to ideas, had some good debate and learned a great deal by getting out and speaking to people about the community issues that matter most.”
The remaining forum meetings are:
* Burtonwood: Monday February 17, 6.30pm-7.45pm – Burtonwood Catholic Club
* Fairfield and Howley: Thursday February 27, 6.30pm-7.45pm – St Elphin’s (Fairfield) CE (VA) Primary School
* Poulton North/Poulton South: Wednesday March 4, 6.30pm-7.45pm – Fearnhead Cross Community and Youth Centre, Insall Road, Padgate
