Seven ill after warehouse chemical leak

SEVEN members of staff reported feeling ill after a chemical leak at warehouse premises in Warrington early today.
The leak involved an industrial dishwasher at premises on the Kingsland Grange Industrial Estate at Woolston shortly after midnight.
Fire crews from Warrington, Birchwood, Lymm and Stockton Heath were sent to the scene. They cordoned off the area and specialist teams assessed the casualties, none of who were believed to require hospital treatment.
No fumes were detected in the building. The dishwasher was isolated by firefighters and the area was internally ventilated. Crews cordoned off the machinery area and staff were allowed back into certain areas of the warehouse.
Earlier, firefighters were called to Orford Park in Alder Lane. Warrington following reports of a wheelie bin on fire. Crews attended and used a water back pack and buckets of water to put out the fire.
