LYMM actor Emma Turner and her Northwich pal Anna Jaskolka are to launch a prospective new TV sitcom at the Manchester Fringe Festival in July.
“The Peculiar Pair” is a one-hour comedy play – think “The Odd Couple”, French and Saunders, Morecombe and Wise, etc.
It will be staged at new Fringe venue “Wilson’s Social” in Oldham Street, Manchester on July 17.
Waynetta, after throwing out yet another lover, chucks his belongings in a skip where she discovers Joanie, who has bedded down there for the night.
Feeling the need for a little company, Waynetta upcycles Joanie and offers her a home.  She thinks she’s taking in a feral cat but Joanie who carries her life belongings in her fanny bag, is not a Push- over Pussy.
She’s landed on her feet all right and for once in her life doesn’t have to lie on her back to show her appreciation.  Joanie’s gratitude is a bit too much to bear for set-in-her-ways Waynetta who resents sharing her sofa during Goggle-box and is in a singleton’s heaven eating junk food and recycling used pizza boxes into fine art.
A  percentage of the production’s proceeds will be donated to charities Back on Track, Manchester and Reach out to the Community, Chorlton and after the performance there will be a question and answer session with charity representatives.
Emma said: “Come after work, wind down with a drink, a nibble and some good company. Be part of the Fringe and let this production lift your spirits before you head off home. “
