Warrington Town match falls victim to Storm Ciara

WARRINGTON Town’s game at home to Matlock Town has been postponed due to Storm Ciara.

Although there were no issues with the pitch at Cantilever Park, the decision was made to call off the game due to high winds.

Both clubs and the league had previously agreed for the game to be moved to Sunday, long before the forecast of the significant storm.

The safety of players and spectators, particularly those travelling from Derbyshire, resulted in the postponement of the game early on Sunday morning.

The Yellows are next in action away at Ashton United on Saturday.
