Emergency services alerted after gas leak

A NUMBER of people were checked over by paramedics after a suspected gas leak at Warrington today.
Fire crews from Warrington and Lymm were called to West Avenue, Stockton Heath this afternoon following reports of a gas leak in a building.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus stood by with a hose reel jet and paramedics check over a number of people who may have inhaled gas.
Fire crews remained at the scene for about an hour and-a-quarter until the area was declared safe. No-one is believed to have been seriously harmed.
