“Dancing Chris” Berry has been jailed for 12 weeks for breaching an order which banned him from entering Warrington town centre.

He had been banned from entering the town centre following 19 reported incidents of alcohol fuelled disorder between June and November last year.

Berry (64) has been sentenced to 12 weeks cin prison for two breaches of his Community Behaviour Order which was only issued at Warrington Magistrates on Friday 17th January 2020.

One of these breaches took place on the same day it was issued, the second taking place on Saturday 25th January 2020 – both related to him entering the Town Centre area.

Warrington Police’s Town Centre Unit had prepared an application that made reference to 19 incidents of alcohol fuelled disorder within the town centre and surrounding from June 2019 through November 2019, as well as an addendum of 9 incidents from December 2019 to January 2020 that took place after he was summonsed to court for this application.
