Grassroots charity wins a £1,000 donation

A CHARITY which works to improve the quality of life of people in deprived communities has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre at Warrington.
Four Estates Ltd works at grassroots level to provide services and activities to improve the quality of life for people in Halton.
The charity plans to use the donation to support a free food distribution project..
Prashant Pandey, site leader at Amazon Warrington, said “We are thrilled to donate to Four Estates, a charity committed to improving the quality of life for people living in our local area. Our team enjoyed meeting the charity’s team of dedicated volunteers and we wish them well as they continue their important work in our community. “
Shelagh Kearney from Four Estates added “I would like to thank the Amazon team on behalf of myself and all at Four Estates.This donation will enable us to continue to support and improve the lives of people in Halton and surrounding areas.  As a small charity we rely heavily on donations like this, so thank you very much Prashant and team.“
The donation forms part of the “Amazon in the Community” programme whereby the company supports the communities around its operating locations across the UK.
