Eight men charged in connection with 29 armed robberies

EIGHT men have been charged in connection with a series of armed robberies – four of them in Warrington.
The men – all from the Greater Manchester area – were arrested after a joint operation by Cheshire and Greater Manchester police.
They are:
Daniel Adamson, 33; Christopher Burke, 24; Michael Burke, 38; Connor Kedie, 21; Michael Kedie, 28; Robert Lewis, 45; Anthony Watson, 32; and Jack Yarwood, 34.
They are alleged to have taken part in a total of 29 armed robberies, mostly involving convenience stores between May 12 and November 21 last year..
The men have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery.
Warrington shops alleged to have been targeted by the men were the One Stop Shop in Dam Lane, Woolston, on July 11, McColls, in Concorde Place, Orford, on July 18, the Co-op at Chaise Meadow, Lymm, on May 12 and the Co-op in Knutsford Road, Grappenhall, on August 26.
All eight men have been remanded in custody and are next due to appear at Manchester Crown Court on Wednesday, February 12.
