Shoplifter was armed with rock-in-a-sock – allegation

AN alleged shoplifter was found armed with a rock in a sock, say police at Warrington.
The man was arrested on suspicion of stealing perfume from Debenham’s at Warrington and for possession of an offensive weapon – the rock in the sock.
He was also identified as a suspect for a previous theft at Boots in Warrington in early October.
