Police helicopter helps locate woman following concerns over safety

THE police helicopter was brought in at Appleton last night following concerns for a woman’s safety.

A police spokesperson said: “At 10.47pm on Thursday 9 January police received a report of concern for the safety of a woman in the Appleton area of Warrington.

“Police, with the help of air support, made a search of the area including Dingle Woods.

“She was located shortly before midnight and checked over by paramedics as a precaution.”
