New challenge for new MPs

0

AFTER last night’s General Election Warrington has two new MPs with Conservative Andy Carter defeating Labour’s Faisal Rashid in the key Warrington South marginal, while Charlotte Nichols just managed to hang on to the Warrington North seat vacated by the long serving Helen Jones, for Labour.

It was nip and tuck throughout the night in a closely fought election where the Brexit issue, which has divided our country – and town, played a key part

I look forward to working with both MPs and promoting everything good about our great town while working hard for our local communities.

There has been too much division in national and local politics for far too long and everyone needs to start working together for the good of our town and the people who live here.

So my first challenge for the new year will to be encourage Charlotte and Andy to put any political differences to one side and when necessary, both work together for the good of our town.

At the end of the day we are all human beings and if we treat each other with respect and work together for the good of our town we can achieve so much more.
