VOTING has started in the General Election – with polling stations across Warrington reporting a brisk turnout as soon as they opened at 7am.
A damp, cold drizzly morning did not deter the early morning voters.
Polling will continue until 10pm tonight but the local results are not expected to be declared until 3.30am or even later.
Warrington-Worldwide will be at the count and will publish the results as soon as they are available.
The line-up of candidates in alphabetical order is as follows:
WARRINGTON SOUTH
Aspinall, Clare (Brexit Party)
Bate, Ryan (Liberal Democrats)
Carter, Andy (Conservative)
Hickson, Kevin (Social Democratic Party)
Rashid, Faisal (Labour)
WARRINGTON NORTH
