LIBERAL Democrat Parliamentary candidate for Warrington South Ryan Bate dropped in at the Walton Lea Project to see the work carried out there.
He was joined by local Liberal Democrat councillor Sharon Harris on a tour of the project, which carries out vital work to support adults with additional learning needs.
Cllr Bate said: “I was incredibly impressed by what I saw.
“ I met trustees, staff and volunteers and they all share an absolute commitment to the people in their care. I was especially impressed to see the way they balance the development of work and social skills, with all activities leading to an end product that the learners can take pride in. It was an inspirational afternoon and Walton Lea deserves more credit for this work.”
The Walton Lea partnership is a charity which supports adults with additional learning needs, with supported employment opportunities at the walled garden at Walton Lea as well as at Walton Gardens.
Cllr Bate added: “It is projects like Walton Lea, which would benefit from the additional Liberal Democrat investment in education and social care. The Liberal Democrats have an ambitious programme to put billions into public services over the course of the next Parliament.”
