Man in hospital after being trapped in car crash

A MAN was taken to hospital at Warrington last night after being injured in a road crash at Birchwood.
The incident was in Heather Close at 7.30pm and two fire engines from Warrington and Birchwood were call to the scene, together with an ambulance.
Crews found a man medically trapped in a car which was the only vehicle involved in the collision and used specialist cutting equipment to release the casualty, who was then handed over to paramedics.
Firefighters were at the scene for about 40 minutes.
