Get engaged to have a say on local NHS services

WARRINGTON’S NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group is inviting members of the public to a free health event on Monday, December 16 at 12:30pm to 3pm at The Gateway.

The theme of the next ‘Get Engaged’ event is ‘staying well, safe and independent for as long as possible’.

Everyone who attends will be given the chance to learn more about Intermediate Care (care which is considered in between services such as hospital and home) and local frailty services. They will also be given the opportunity to share their views and experiences to help inform how these services are provided in the future.

One of the highlights of the event will be a marketplace featuring interactive exhibits, a taster Livewire ‘Stay on Your Feet’ exercise session and a chance to get useful health advice and information from local organisations such as Warrington Borough Council and Warrington Disability Partnership.

Katie Horan, Engagement Manager for NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group said:“We are committed to ensuring that people in Warrington are not only informed about health services, but they also get a chance to help shape them too. One of the many ways we do this is through our regular, informative and friendly Get Engaged events.

“We want to encourage as many people as possible to attend our next event on 16 December at The Gateway. As well as offering an opportunity to discuss current health services, anyone attending can also get useful advice and information from a variety of different agencies about staying well and independent over the winter period.“
