Nine-bedroom apartment house approved

PLANNING bosses have given the green light for a five-bedroomed house at Warrington to be converted into a nine-bed house-in-multiple occupation.
Members of the borough council’s development management committee approved the scheme after hearing that the house next door in Salisbury Street, Fairfield, was already a house-in-multiple occupation with 11 bedrooms.
A local councillor objected on the grounds of over-development and traffic concerns.
The committee was told the property was a three-storey terraced house, currently in use as a five bedroomed house.
The alterations would include installing roof lights and a kitchen dining room in a basement room.
Planning officers said the principle of a house-in-multiple occupation in the area was considered acceptable.
