UPDATED: A man police wanted to speak to in connection with a serious assault in the Warrington town centre has been identified following a CCTV appeal.
The incident occurred outside Reef Bar on Bridge Street at around 4.50am on Sunday November 3.
The victim, a 20-year-old man from Macclesfield, was subjected to a blind side attack from another man and suffered a serious face injury.
He was taken to hospital following the unprovoked assault and has since been discharged. The man police wanted to speak to has now been identified.
