Teenage girl trapped in child’s swing

FIREFIGHTERS from Birchwood were called out to rescue a teenage girl trapped in a child’s swing.

The incieent took place at a play area on Rowland Close, Birchwood, Warrington at around 8pm last night (Friday).

One fire engine attended from Birchwood was called to Rowland Close after a teenage girl had become trapped in a child’s swing.

Firefighters used hand tools to release the girl and were in attendance for 25 minutes.

Later in the evening one fire crew from Lymm were called out to deal with an unattended bonfire on Arbury Lane, Winwick Warrington.

They used a hose reel jet to put the fire out and stayed at the scene to damp down. Crews were at the incident for around 50 minutes.
