Man arrested after Bewsey stabbing

A 25-year-old man has been arrested and taken into custody following reports of a stabbing on Longshaw Street, Bewsey, earlier today (Monday).

The incident involved a 22-year-old man allegedly being stabbed in the stomach close to the premier Store on Longshaw Street.

The area was taped off by police and the air ambulance attended at the scene, but was not required.

A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: “At 10.09am on Monday 28 October police were called to reports of a stabbing on Longshaw Street in Warrington.

“Officers attended to the scene and a 22-year-old man was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries to his stomach.

“A 25-year-old man has been arrested in-connection with the incident and has been taken into custody for questioning.”

Air ambulance did attend to the scene but he was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
