Success for Warrington pair in five mile road race

TWO members of Warrington Athletics Club enjoyed success in the Green Drive 5-mile road race at Lytham yesterday (Sunday).
Jordan Jones, 17, a student at Lymm High School, ran excellently to finish in fifth place with a time of 25 minujtes 13 seconds to smash his previous best time for the distance and was first under 20 in the race.
This time puts him fifth in the UK rankings for his age group.
Mervyn Ward, from Cinnamon Brow, ran excellently to finish in second place in the Over 60 age group and 46th overall, with a time of 32 minutes 41 second.
