KEATE House Residential Care Home, Lymm,  has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.
The Caring UK Awards are now in their third year and the home has beaten off competition from thousands of others across the UK to be shortlisted in the Community Involvement awards.
This annual event recognises excellence and achievement in care homes throughout the country with shortlisted facilities being as far north as Ballachulish in northern Scotland and as far south as Devon.
The awards are organised by Script Events in conjunction with leading care industry magazine Caring UK, with support from headline sponsor Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, and in each category up to seven finalists have been selected, who will now go through to the next stage of the judging process where they will be out to impress by showcasing first hand the great work going on in their homes.
This stage involves a visit to each finalist by a member of the awards team who will take a look around the facilities and chat to residents and staff before compiling a comprehensive report, which will then be passed on to an expert judging panel to decide the worthy winners.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on November 15 at The Athena in Leicester.
Keate House care manager Diane Clarkson said: “It is a great honour to be shortlisted for this award. This represents the hard work and dedication of our team to ensure the residents of Keate House are an integral part of the community of Lymm and in return Keate House gives back to our community by supporting and participating in local events”.
