WARRINGTON Town will host league rivals Ashton United in the first qualifying round of this year’s FA Trophy.

The draw was made at Wembley on Monday, with the game taking place on Saturday October 26 at Cantilever Park.

The Yellows bowed out at the first hurdle in last year’s competition, losing 1-0 at home to Prescot Cables, but enjoyed an exciting run in 2017/18 reaching the third round proper.

During that run, they defeated National League side Ebbsfleet United and National League North side Tamworth before going down 2-1 at Wealdstone.

They played Ashton in the second qualifying round that year, winning 4-2 on penalties after a replay at Hurst Cross.

The Yellows are in league action at Matlock Town tonight, Tuesday.
