LATCHFORD Albion had three players and their coach representing England at the weekend as they played a dual- headed fixture at Leigh Miners.
Firstly Matty Ellis was selected for the England Community Lions Youth, where he played at hooker in a 12-12 draw against Scotland Under 19s
Then Albion and England captain Danny Brown was in outstanding form earning the official man of the match award, in the NWML England Lionhearts 24-18 victory over Germany.
Alongside Brown, Albion head coach Martyn Ellis was part of the Lionhearts coaching staff, with hooker, Phil Woollacott who, although he did not play, part of the 19 man squad.
