Woman rescued from smoke-filled flat

A WOMAN was rescued from a smoke-filled flat at Warrington early today after fire broke out involving the door.
The blaze was in Sharp Street, Warrington shortly before 2.30am and fire engines from Penketh, Warrington and Stockton Heath went to the scene.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze using a hose reel jet.
The woman was rescued but was not seriously harmed. Crews were at the scene for about two hours.
Cause of the outbreak has not been revealed.
