Mystery of how man came to be critically injured in street

POLICE are appealing for help in establishing how a man in Warrington came to suffer serious injuries over the weekend.
Shortly before midnight on Saturday, a 54-year-old man was found collapsed on Bridgewater AvenuE, Latchford.
He was taken to Warrington Hospital and is now in a critical condition. His next of kin have been made aware and police are currently trying to establish how the man was injured.
DI Julie Jackson said: “If you were in the area of Grange Avenue or Bridgewater Avenue between 11.15pm and 11.50pm that night and saw how the man came about his injuries, or indeed anything that stood out as unusual, I would urge you to make contact. If you have dashcam footage which you feel may assist then please submit it through our website.
“Obviously it is very concerning and distressing for the family that he is so seriously injured and with no real understanding of how this happened. We really need to find out how this man came to be injured, not only for his family’s sake, but also to determine whether or not there was any third party involvement.”
