Police discover body in search for missing woman

OFFICERS searching for missing Warrington woman Helen O’Brien have discovered a body.

The body was found in the River Mersey near Seacombe, Wirral, at around 5.20pm yesterday, Wednesday 2 October.

Formal identification has not been confirmed. However, it is believed to be that of missing woman Helen O’Brien.

Her family have been informed and are being supported by officers.

The death is not believed to be suspicious at the current time and a case file will be prepared for the coroner.

Mother of two Helen, aged 34, was last seen at around 10pm on Wednesday  September 25 in Lime Tree Avenue in Stockton Heath.

Extensive searches had been taking place for almost a week since her disappearance.
