THE Warrington Campus of the University of Chester is to hold an Open Day for prospective students on Saturday, October 19
The university scored more than 85 per cent for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey, 2018 and visitors and prospective students will be given the chance to find out why at the open day.
More than 400 course possibilities are offered to students across a number of specialist sites in Warrington, Chester and Shrewsbury and there will be open days at the other sites – Chester on October 12, 26 and November 13 and Shrewsbury on October 19 and November 21.
All faculties offering undergraduate programmes will be attending the Open Day events, where visitors can take part in taster lectures, demonstrations, facility tours and put their questions to some of the University’s industry-active and award-winning academics.
They will also find out more about the University’s innovative Work Based Learning Module, extra-curricular opportunities, and why 95 per cent of its undergraduate leavers were in employment within six months of graduating (Higher Education Leavers Statistic; UK, 2016-17).
Student-led campus tours will allow visitors to explore first-hand the wide range of accommodation and campus facilities on offer.
Adam Bodger, deputy director of marketing at the university, said: “Attending an open day is a useful starting point for prospective students researching their options. Not only does it allow them to see the facilities on offer, but also put their questions to the experts. Going to university is a big decision, that’s why we’ve designed a programme of activities that focuses on all areas of university life.”
The Open Day at Warrington will run between 10.30am and 3pm.
