A RESIDENTIAL road in Warrington was blocked early today – by an apparently abandoned articulated lorry.
Police were called to the scene in Sunflower Drive, on the Saxon Park estate at Sankey Bridges at about 6am – but found there was no driver present.
A police spokesperson said: “We don’t know how it got stuck there and the driver hasn’t stuck around for us to ask! Enquiries are ongoing.”
An hour or so later, the lorry was moved and the road re-opened.
Police have asked for anyone with information about the incident to call 101, quoting incident 509262.
