Church to host Heritage Open Day

0

All Saints Church, Thelwall is holding a Heritage Open Day on Friday, September 20, between 9.30am and 4.30pm.

The event will provide an opportunity to meet the team working to conserve the fabric and decoration of this 19th century church and learn more about crafts, skills and processes involved in this project.

Site tours will include repair and conservation demonstrations – Stonework & Masonry (all day) and Stained Glass (afternoon only).

Visitors will get a chance to ‘Have a Go.’

There will also be displays and refreshments available.

There is limited parking at church, so visitors are asked to use the Parish Hall Car Park WA4 2SX or take Cat5 bus to Pickering Arms stop and walk back to the church.

The Little Manor (10.30am) and Pickering Arms (12 noon) are very close, and offer great food and drink – booking is advised.
