VANDALS are being blamed for a fire which damaged a slide in a play area in a park at Warrington last night.
The blaze was at about 8.25 pm in the park off Bostock Street.
Firefighters took about 15 minutes to deal with the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately.

Earlier, a wheelie bin was set alight in broad daylight in Bridge Street, Warrington in what firefighters believe was an arson attack. They used a hose reel jet to extinguish the blaze, shortly before 3pm and were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
