Boy of 15 arrested after arson attack on flat


A 15-year-old boy has been arrested at Warrington following a suspected arson attack on a ground floor flat early today.
Four fire engines were sent to the blaze on Perrins Road, Burtonwood.
The fire was reported shortly after 12.30am and fire engines from Warrington, Penketh and Newton-le-Willows went to the scene.
They found a fire on the ground floor and four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the building and use two hose reel jets to tackle the flames
The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate and police officers arrested a 15-year old boy on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life.
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is asked to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting IML492404.
Crews remained in attendance for just over two hours and 45 minutes.
