Health chiefs move swiftly as midwifery group collapses

HEALTH chiefs at Warrington and across the region have today been told the organisation responsible for community midwifery services will go into administration on Wednesday.
One to One (North West) Ltd have decided they are unable to continue with the contract.
Warrington CCG (Clinical Commission Group) and other CCGs across the North West have moved swiftly to ensure that more than 4,500 women registered with One to One (North West) Ltd can continue to access the support they need.
A spokesperson said: “Women affected are being contacted directly by a dedicated team to make arrangements to transfer their care to an alternative provider.
“The team can also be contacted on 0151 604 7688/9 and is available from 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday.”
The contract to provide case loading midwifery led community services by One to One (North West) Ltd has been in place since 2016 and the current contract is due to expire on March 31 next year.
A procurement exercise is ongoing to seek a new provider for the service.
One to One currently provide services on behalf of NHS , Clinical Commissioning Groups in Warrington, Wirral, Liverpool; West Cheshire, South Cheshire, Vale Royal, South Sefton and Southport and Formby.
They have launched a procurement exercise, to ensure continuity of service.
As of this month, 4,581 women are registered with One to One (North West) Ltd.
