Woman arrested after RTC at Winwick was almost four times drink driving limit

A woman arrested following a road traffic collision in the Winwick area of Warrington during the early hours of today (Sunday) was almost four times the drink driving limit.

The 38-year-old woman was arrested at 1am and blew 135 on a roadside screening device – the legal limit is 35.

Other arrests made by Warrington Police over night included a 47-year-old male for a domestic assault in Sankey area, a 21-year-old old male arrested in Bridge Street for drunk and disorderly behaviour, a 31-year-old male for domestic harassment and a 50-year-old male for being drunk and disorderly in town centre.

Finally at 6am a 26-year-old female was arrested on Academy Way for assault on a male and a public order offence.
