A SITE manager on a Culcheth housing development has won a top industry award for the second year in succession.
Darren Evans earned a Pride in the Job “Quality” award from the NHBC in recognition of his work on the Culcheth Green development.
He has worked for developer Elan Homes for five years.
Around 16,000 site managers competed for the prestigious awards, considered the site managers’ equivalent of the Oscars.
Darren was one of just 450 Quality award winners, with only around 40 of them based on sites in the North West.
Judging for the awards covers every element of site management including technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls site managers have in place and spot checks of the day-to-day running of the site.
Darren said: “Everyone who works on site at Culcheth Green is dedicated delivering quality homes. The award might have my name on it, but it’s a team effort.
“Being recognised for two years in a row is a real achievement. I’m proud of every home at Culcheth Green. Consistency is key and I’m committed to ensuring every home is finished to the same high standard customers expect from Elan.”
On a typical day, Darren oversees 40 people working on site at Culcheth Green.
