DETECTIVES at Warrington today appealed for witnesses to a robbery at a shop in the town.
The incident happened at McColl’s, on Concorde Place, Warrington, at approximately 10.35pm last night (Thursday).
Two men wearing balaclavas entered the store and forced the staff members to open up the store room.
One of the offenders was carrying a knife and a crowbar. They stole money and cigarettes before leaving the store and running to an alleyway between McColls and a neighbouring store.
Detective Sergeant Ian McNabb said: “This was a terrifying incident for the staff members who were physically attacked by the men.
“Thankfully they are not injured but we need to find these men as quickly as possible to make sure that no one else becomes a victim.”
