Police increase patrols at cemetery following complaints of anti-social behaviour

POLICE are stepping up patrols at Fox Covert cemetery at Hillcliffe, Appleton, following complaints of anti-social behaviour.

A polce spokesperson said: “We have been receiving complaints about ASB around Fox Covet Cemetery. As a result of this we will be increasing patrols of the area at different times of the day. Any offences disclosed will be dealt with.”

Hillcliffe is a popular hang out for youngsters as well as people visiting to watch the sunset.

Two years ago a grieving mother was shocked to find drugs at Fox Covert Cemetery while visiting her deceased baby daughter.

A shelter had also been damaged with packages containing drugs on the floor next to the baby garden.
