Council Leader’s forums heading to Appleton and Latchford

WARRINGTON Borough Council Leader Cllr Russ Bowden has added two new leader’s forum meetings for July in Appleton and Latchford.

The forums, which are a chance for residents to question the Leader outside of formal council meetings about issues and priorities in Warrington, have been confirmed for Appleton and Latchford.

The latest dates have been added in response to growing feedback and attendance by residents at previous forums across the borough.

Cllr Bowden explained: “The forums aren’t just for residents in each ward or local community, they are for everyone, and I’d welcome the chance to talk with people again at the Appleton and Latchford meetings.

“I don’t want to shy away from the issues that matter most to Warrington’s communities which is why it’s important I head out again to new areas of our borough, to hopefully speak with more residents about any questions and concerns they have.

“The council is here to serve Warrington’s communities. One of the best ways of understanding how we can improve and respond to resident issues is by meeting face to face. I’ve enjoyed the forums so far and I’m looking forward to these additional meetings.”

The additional forums will be:

• Wednesday 10 July, 6.30pm-7.45pm – Bridgewater High School upper site, Broomfields Road, Appleton, WA4 3AE
• Monday 22 July, 6.30pm-7.45pm – St Werburgh’s community hub, Boswell Avenue, WA4 6DQ
